The Wolcott High School Library/Media Center (Resource Center)
is in
the process of completing a 3 year plan to replace obsolete furniture and to
refurbish the overall condition of the Library. We thought you might enjoy
seeing some of the work. These pictures were taken on March 14th, 2008

The Wolcott High School Library Media Center is a fully automated library media center with a book collection in access of 16,000 volumes and a periodical collection of more than 50 titles and 4 daily newspapers. In addition to materials found in many high school libraries, the Wolcott High School Library Media Center contains 12 computers with full internet access and laser printing capabilities. In addition there is access to several electronic data bases which include, ICONN, Newsbank, Proquest, Ebsco Ultra and SIRS researcher. The library media center also provides for access to the New York Times on microfilm dating from 1854.
The Wolcott High School Library Media Center is a member of Regional Audio Visual Education which provides access to over 2,000 educational videotapes and Video Discs.

The Wolcott High School Library Media Center provides an environment that is conducive to learning. It supplements classroom instruction, and it expands the horizons of each course within the curriculum.
