Description
Description: Under the guidance and direction of the CASA Project Director and CASA Executive Board for
the Drug-Free Communities Grant within the Wolcott Public School System, this position is responsible for administrative, coordination, and programmatic support in the following areas:
1. Office Administration
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date membership and community contact lists/databases
• Maintain accurate, timely records of CASA financial expenditures and In-kind/volunteer contributions, in coordination with Project Director and WPS Business Office
• Assist with monitoring & ordering office supplies and Coalition educational/branding materials
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date calendar of events and programmatic activities
• Organize and coordinate work to complete tasks in accordance with established deadlines
• Maintain organized office files, equipment, and environment
2. Coalition Communications
• Respond effectively to phone calls, email, and other communications from coalition members and community partners; refer questions to appropriate staff & leadership
• Responsible for press releases, newsletters, and other correspondence by due date
• Monitor and update CASA social media platforms on a daily basis
• In coordination with CASA Project Director and Coalition leadership, prepare and disseminate monthly newsletter
• Assist in dissemination of CASA information, news submissions, and flyers through school and community avenues
• Maintain bulletin boards, sandwich boards, and other informational displays
• Maintain confidentiality of Coalition records and other information
3. Coalition Meeting & Coordination
• Prepare and distribute Coalition and Executive Board agendas, reminders, sign-in sheets and other meeting materials at least one-week prior
• Take accurate minutes at monthly Coalition and Executive Board members and distribute promptly within 48 hours of meeting
• Manage registration and set-up for Coalition meetings and events in schools & community
• Assist in scheduling grant-related activities and recruiting volunteers
• Attend community meetings and training opportunities, as needed or directed by CASA Coalition Executive Board and Project Director
• Youth Advisor to the Respect, Trust, and Commitment (RTC) Youth Leadership Group at the middle and high school, report to Project Director and full coalition on updates and reports
• Assist Project Director in implementation of the action plan and work closely with
contractors and community partners on implementation strategies
• Assist and co-present with Project Director on substance abuse prevention and other prevention training and curriculum
• Assist with other projects that arise
Benefits
Benefits: Per Contract

Reimbursement: Employee will be reimbursed $65.00 a month for cell phone and refunded mileage for the use of employees' private vehicle for business purposes based on IRS current rate
